Do You Really Need a Guide for Cataclysm?

Right now, there are already a number of guides on the market for Cataclysm. So, I had to ask myself, do we really need guides just yet? What could you possibly learn from a guide that you couldn’t just figure out on your own when the game hits the live servers?

It turns out, quite a lot. Cataclysm is an expansion that will change pretty much everything we know about WoW, including the old world content we all grew up on. So, if you’re like me and think you can “wing it”, you’ll login on day one, look at your character and ask, “wait, what’s first?”

There are new races to level, new combos to check out, new gear to get, new PvP to participate in, and new levels to grind through. The questing is overhauled, the achievements are upgraded, and the professions are extended.

And if you sit there scratching your head too long, everyone else is going to rush past you and leave you sitting there wondering what just happened.

So, you need to act fast, moving your way up the ranks rapidly so you can reach level 85, make some gold and start building up your guild’s level as fast as possible.

My Short Review of Mafia Wars Blueprint, Does it Really Work?

I love Mafia Wars. Don't ask me why. It's a silly, very basic interfaced game that really only draws so much attention because people want to see how their friends are doing. But, for millions every day, it is an entertaining diversion that allows them to show off how good they are at networking and completing simple tasks.

Empire & Allies is not just another game on Facebook. It might look quite simple in the beginning but the going gets very tough as you progress in the game. How Many of these Guides Do We Really Need?

There is another guide out for those social networking games. I just saw it on the forums for Café World last week and while at first I scoffed with everyone else (it’s a favorite pastime on the Zynga forums to scoff at the guides), I quickly found that the guide was actually a lot more useful than we were giving it credit for. 

When I Checked it Out

I wasn’t going to check the guide out. But, then I started to ask around and heard a few good things about how it had been helping players start to build their cafes up from nothing into relatively high efficiency restaurants – something that I had repeatedly failed to do with my own café.

In short, the Café World guide is a big giant blueprint that shows players how to go from level 1 to the top of the game in a streamlined path. It doesn’t give you step by step directions like other game guides because that’s not how these games work. Rather, it shows you how to cater your play style to your own schedule and do well with the time you have to invest.

Do You Really Need A CityVille Guide?

I love social networking games. Games like Farmville and Frontierville gets me glued to my computer for at least 5 hours a day. But none of these games got me so crazily looked on it like CityVille. I was even playing the game in my office! I have to admit, it was a struggle to progress through the game after a while. 

 

Many people are making it through the high levels in a matter of hours! I was curious to know their secret and after chatting up a kind fellow, he told me that all he had done was to follow simple steps taught by gaming guru Tony 'T Dub' Sanders in his guide CityVille Secrets. I consider myself to be relatively well educated in the latest generation of social networking site games like Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, and such. That's why when I started to see these FarmVille guides popping up all over the place I was kind of surprised. I mean, I can see why people might need some tips to get going in games like Mafia Wars, but FarmVille?

At this point though I hadn't actually played the game, but I didn't really think it could be all that complicated. I figured I should give it a shot though, just so that I could say I knew what I was talking about. And I was in for a rather big surprise. In no time, I was out of money and had no crops to plant. I have to admit, there way more to this game than I had anticipated.
